Chennai Super Kings Leading wicket takers Matheesha Pathirana and Mustafizur Rahman are not playing, still Chennai Bowled superbly against Punjab. Jadeja had taken 3 wickets, Tushar Deshpande and Simarjeet Singh took 2 wickets each.

Mustafizur Rahman left Chennai due to performing national duty. Rahman took 14 wickets in 9 innings. Matheesha Pathirana went to Sri Lanka due to a Hamstring injury, he took 13 wickets in just 6 innings.
