KL Rahul will be captaining the three match ODI Match series against South Africa. The First match will be played on December 17th (Sunday) at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. In the absence of senior players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shubhman Gill. KL Rahul will be Leading the side.
Recently India played a three match T20I Series against South Africa. The series as 1-1 draw. In T20I series Surya Kumar had captained the team. In T20I series captain Surya Kumar Yadav and some other players like Shubhman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Bishnoi were not playing in the ODI series.
Now for Three One Day series KL Rahul will be Captaining the Team. Sanju Samson and Chahal gets a chance in ODI series. Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad likely to open the innings. Shreyas Iyer would be coming at 1st down.
RCB player Rajat Patidar was selected in the 16 members squad, but he may not get chance in first two matches. KL Rahul will be batting in the same position as in the World Cup Fifth Place. Chahal and Axar Patel between those both spinners Axar Patel will get a chance over him.
In batting order Sanju Samson, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer, Tilak Verma, KL Rahul and Rinku Singh could be final.
In bowling order Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Mukesh Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar/ Avesh Khan.
Last minute some changes could be there.
