After winning the toss, India had opted to bowl first. Arshdeep Singh had struck twice in the 1st over of the innings. From there wickets fell at regular intervals. Nitish Kumar who scored 27(23) is the highest run for the USA team. USA scored 110/8 in 20 overs.
Arshdeep Singh had taken the best bowling figures in his career. He bowled 4 overs and was given only 9 runs and took 4 wickets. Hardik Pandya also bowled superbly and took 2 wickets. Axar Patel had taken a wicket.
Chasing 111 runs India lost both openers Virat Kohli (0) and Rohit Sharma (3) for Saurabh Netravalker. Rishabh Pant (18) tried to stabilize the innings, but he was bowled by Ali Khan.

Surya Kumar Yadav scored fifty. Probably the slowest fifty for him. He never ever scored so much slow. He generally scores a century when he plays 49 balls. But did what the situation demand.
Shivam Dube also scored 31* runs from 35 balls. He played a good innings and led India for a win.
